His son, Mohammad Alam, received complete training in the trade of silversmith from his enterprising father.

• It was due to his entrepreneurial and artistic skills that ACV was able to bag orders beating other international bidders for making cups for prestigious sports events like:

• Mr. Mohammad Alam has been bestowed with the honor of 'Mastercraftsman' by Government of India and had received the National Award (1988-89) from former R. Venkatraman, the then President of India. He was also conferred with State award for his excellent craftsmanship in 1986-87.
